Leoni about her work:
"I adore the picture of the toadstools on
fabric firstly because the array of fabrics on the table reminded me of my
mother and of my childhood – a time rich in imagination and creativity. I also
took the pieces next to me, believing that whatever is at hand suffices and
after gives better results than long and laborious choosing. But from what was
at hand I chose what I believe I could combine to form a picture."
